AFM Section I Operating Limitations (page 3 of 10, Revision C); Section V Weight and Balance, pages 3-12 of 14 (envelope chart page 12 of 14, Revision B) (pages 6-27 of s-1t__afm__unknown.pdf) · version type
- Aft limit at max gross differs between pages: Section I Revision C (July 26, 1985) and the page 12 chart give FS 62.20 (25.7% MAC); an older Section I page and the Section V table (page 5 of 14) give FS 61.38 (23.39% MAC). The Revision C value 62.20 was used; verify which applies to your manual revision.
- Forward limit at max gross: Section I gives FS 60.37 (20.47% MAC, consistent with MAC geometry LEMAC FS 53.28, MAC 34.63 in); the Section V table prints Arm 60.63 (moment 69725), likely a typo. 60.37 used.
- No minimum weight printed; the lower envelope boundary at 950 lb is the edge of the chart only (limits stated as 'at 1115 lbs or less' and 'at 970 lbs or less').
- Typical empty is the serial-specific equipped weight empty for S/N 1054: 914.5 lb, moment 51097.4 in-lb (arm computed 55.87 in), including 2 USG oil (15 lb at FS 31.26), 1 USG (6 lb) unusable fuel and a 3.0 lb radio at FS 71.5. Worked examples use a different equipped empty of 826 lb / 44427 in-lb; sample text mentions dry empty 805 lb / 43631 in-lb. Use your own aircraft's weighing.
- Oil (max 2 USG, 15 lb, FS 31.26) is included in the empty weight and not listed as a loadable station.
- Fuel: 20 USG capacity, 19 USG usable (114 lb); density 6 lb/USG derived from the manual's 120 lb / 20 gal. Unusable 1 gal is already in equipped weight empty.
- No acrobatics with baggage. No low-level acrobatics with less than 1/2 tank fuel.
- Pilot weight includes parachute if worn. Flight load factors +6.0 / -4.67 g.
- Read from the POH by ZuluCheck and checked by a second reading; verify against your own manual.
