POH-162-00-40-050 Section 2 p.2-5 (Center of gravity range); Section 6 pp.6-2 to 6-5 (Weighing procedure, Determination of in-flight CG, Sample c.g. calculation) (pages 21-57 of alpha-trainer__poh__poh-162-00-40-050-b04.pdf) · version type
- No CG envelope chart is printed; only a CG range of 10.4 in (265 mm) to 14.7 in (373 mm) aft of datum (25%–37% MAC) and MTOM 550 kg (1212 lb). Envelope is drawn as a rectangle; the lower mass bound of 0 is a placeholder, no minimum weight is printed.
- The sample calculation states the allowable range as 265–368 mm, inconsistent with the 373 mm aft limit stated in Section 2 and the warnings; verify the aft limit.
- Manual gives values in both lb/in and kg/mm; kg and mm used here (primary units in the sample calculation). Imperial arms: instruments -12.2 in, pilots 14.5 in, fuel 44.5 in, baggage 36.6 in.
- Baggage max 10 kg (22 lb) is the 'absolute safe' fool-proof limit; actual allowable baggage depends on the individual aircraft's empty CG.
- Fuel tank capacity, usable fuel and fuel density are not given on these pages.
- Typical empty 297 kg at 251 mm is from the sample calculation and is purely an example; use the aircraft's own Weight and Balance Report.
- The 'Instruments' station (-310 mm) is for newly installed equipment, not a loadable station.
- No maximum landing, zero-fuel, minimum pilot or per-seat limits are printed on these pages.
- Read from the POH by ZuluCheck and checked by a second reading; verify against your own manual.
