Data source

Owner's Manual Section 4 (Operating Limitations), pages 4-3 to 4-6: Sample Loading Problem, Loading Graph and Center of Gravity Moment Envelope (page 4-5) (pages 17-38 of 205__owners-manual__1963.pdf) · version type

  • No loading-station arm table is printed; station arms were derived from the Sample Loading Problem as moment/weight: pilot & front passenger 12.2/340 = 35.9 in, fuel 18.3/381 = 48.0 in, center passengers 23.5/340 = 69.1 in, aft passengers 34.0/340 = 100.0 in, oil -0.4/22.5 = -17.8 in. Verify against the Loading Graph lines.
  • Envelope is printed only as a moment envelope (Fig. p. 4-5). It was traced from a 300 dpi scan and converted to arm = moment/weight: forward 33.1 in up to about 2270 lb, straight line to 40.6 in at 3300 lb; aft 47.5 in at every weight (the aft line runs through the origin, about 47.5 to 47.6 in; the forward value of the band is used). The 1900 lb lower edge is the chart's bottom, not a printed limit.
  • Oil 22.5 lb (12 qt at 7.5 lb/gal) is added to the licensed empty weight as in the sample problem; entered here as 3 gal.
  • Fuel: 63.5 gal usable with standard tanks, 80 gal usable with optional long-range tanks (per Loading Graph labels); 0.7 gal unusable each tank. Total tank capacity not printed on these pages. Fuel weight 6 lb/gal as stated.
  • No baggage station or baggage limit is shown on these pages; check the placards/Weight and Balance Data Sheet.
  • Typical empty is the sample airplane (1800.5 lb, moment 60.4 thousand lb-in); use your airplane's licensed empty weight from its Weight and Balance Data Sheet.
  • Reference datum is not stated on these pages.
  • Maximum gross weight 3300 lb; no separate landing or zero-fuel limit printed.
  • Read from the POH by ZuluCheck; the two machine readings disagreed and this was settled by reading the POH pages by hand; verify against your own manual.

For reference only. The aircraft’s approved flight manual and weighing report are the final authority.
