POH Section 2 (Center of Gravity Limits, p. 2-7); Section 6, Figures 6-1, 6-3, 6-5, 6-6, 6-7 and 6-8 (pages 19-98 of 182q__poh__1977.pdf) · version type
- Envelope taken from Figure 6-8 (CG limits in arm) and the Section 2 text: forward 33.0 in at 2250 lb or less, straight line to 39.5 in at 2950 lb; aft 48.5 in at all weights. Lowest weight on the chart is 1800 lb.
- Maximum weight 2950 lb is taken from the CG limits chart and the sample loading problem. The Section 2 weight limits page (takeoff/landing/ramp) was not among these pages; verify there.
- Fuel arm of 48 in is not printed as a number. It is derived from the loading graph and the sample problem (336 lb gives 16.1 moment/1000, about 47.9 in).
- Fuel total volume of 61 USG is usable 56 plus 5 USG unusable (Figure 6-1).
- Long range tanks are optional: 75 USG usable, 5 USG unusable, same arm. Change the fuel station if the airplane has them.
- Area B and the hatshelf share an 80 lb combined maximum. The hatshelf alone is limited to 25 lb. Area A (or a passenger on the child's seat) is limited to 120 lb. Check the baggage door placard for any further combined limit.
- Seat arms are for an average occupant. Pilot and front passenger range from 32 to 50 in; second row cargo from 65 to 82 in.
- Rear cabin floor loading is limited to 200 lb/sq ft. Tie-down ratings are 140 lb per floor tie-down and 100 lb per seat rail tie-down.
- Sample basic empty weight is 1800 lb with moment 63.3 lb-in/1000, which gives an arm of about 35.17 in. It includes unusable fuel and full oil (oil arm -15.0 in). Use the airplane's own weight and balance record.
- Flight into known icing is prohibited and there is no deice fluid station.
- Read from the POH by ZuluCheck and checked by a second reading; verify against your own manual.
