POH Section 6, Figures 6-1, 6-3, 6-5, 6-6, 6-7 and 6-8 (pages 44-53 of 177b__poh__1978.pdf) · version type
- Envelope read from Figure 6-8 (Center of Gravity Limits, arm in inches). Forward limit break points (101.0 up to about 1950 lb, about 102.0 at about 2250 lb, 105.5 at 2500 lb) were read from a small, rotated chart. Verify them.
- Utility category aft limit read as about 108.8 in (chart reads between 108.8 and 109.0). The chart draws the utility region up to 2500 lb. Verify the utility maximum weight against Section 2 limitations.
- Normal aft limit read as about 114.5 in. The chart's lower weight edge is 1300 lb.
- Fuel arm 112 in is not printed directly. It is derived from the sample loading problem (43 gal = 258 lb, moment 28.9). Tank total capacity is not printed on these pages.
- Long range tanks give 60 USG usable (same 6 lb/gal). Use 60 instead of 49 if they are installed.
- Baggage/Cargo 2 and hatshelf share a combined maximum of 120 lb. The hatshelf maximum is 12 lb.
- The second row seat may be removed and replaced by Cargo 1 at arm 134 (Sta 126 to 142). No maximum is printed for Cargo 1 on these pages.
- Pilot and passenger arm 93 is for an average occupant. The range is 90 to 97 depending on seat position.
- The sample basic empty weight of 1639 lb (moment 169.8) includes unusable fuel and full oil (oil 17 lb at 45.0, unusable fuel 6 lb at 100.0). The arm of 103.6 is computed from moment/weight.
- MTOW of 2500 lb is taken from the sample loading problem and the CG charts. Maximum landing weight is not printed on these pages.
- Read from the POH by ZuluCheck and checked by a second reading; verify against your own manual.
